It took quite a bit to get past the first couple hundred pages but once you do its totally worth it. Don't let the beginning trip you up. It seems to me that it is downplayed compared to Dickens' other books (The Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, etc.) I was quite skeptical when I first started it, but it was really worth it.
