Of course, I first have to get my husband to read it. . .

Have you watched any of the Road to Avonlea series, also produced by Kevin Sullivan? Heartily recommended, if not. I'm watching through the series (again) with my sister-in-laws. We all three love it!Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08772667430500306088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683496075979568913.post-17889001890794923352008-09-17T12:30:00.000-04:002008-09-17T12:30:00.000-04:00Yeah, I forgot that my brother really liked the no...Yeah, I forgot that my brother really liked the novels about Anne's children: "Anne of Ingleside" and "Rainbow Valley".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683496075979568913.post-7900356284582055242008-09-17T11:42:00.000-04:002008-09-17T11:42:00.000-04:00Dancebythelight - that's very funny! :) Yeah, ...Dancebythelight - that's very funny! :) Yeah, I am looking forward to re-reading them and you're right there are so many wonderful characters that don't make it into the movie. I'm planning to do as you are and spread the series out and between the rest of my reading.

discipula - True, true. Davy is a hoot, and they identify completely with him.

I am firmly in the camp of "I love them", as you can tell by my email address! :) I have reread them countless times, and each time I learn something new about myself. I heartily second your recommendation.

Thanks for reviewing A ofDiscipulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18428728154574421887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-683496075979568913.post-74993756807686119912008-09-17T09:23:00.000-04:002008-09-17T09:23:00.000-04:00Funny that you should post on this because I just ...Funny that you should post on this because I just finished rereading "Anne of Avonlea" last week. It was so good to reread an Anne book. I think I'll continue on with the series inbetween other books the rest of the year. I really recommend folks who love the movies to read the books. The movies were great, but they left out so many great characters like the seemingly grouchy Mr. Harrison, Davy Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
