Book Quotes: A Writer's View On Reading

"It is a good rule, after reading a new book, never to allow yourself another new one till you have read an old one in between. If that is too much for you, you should at least read one old one to every three new ones."

~ C. S. Lewis (introduction to On the Incarnation)

Hmmm....that's an interesting thought. Very, very interesting.

THanks for sharing. Now I'll be thinking about that all day!

This is a great rule, and I wouldn't have expected less from Lewis! I think I will try to implement it, since I really want to read more classics and great literature.

very interesting quote. I think re-reading great old books is a fabulous idea. Not sure I would re-read 1 for every 3 new ones I read. I do plan on re-reading a few books this year. :)
