Friday Finds

Two new finds this week and I'm sure I'm forgetting at least another couple. (Yes, I should have written them down, I know.)

The Decline and Fall of Practically Everybody by Will Cuppy. I found this book on Carrie's (RTK) group blog Bookfest. Unfortunately the Bookfest blog won't let me link directly to the post, so I can only give you the main link and tell you to go to the Saturday, September 13, 2008 review for more information. The Decline and Fall sounds like it could be a really fun read so I'm adding it to my TBR list.

Her Royal Spyness is the first in a new series by Rhys Bowen. Set in the 1930s the book centers around Lady Victoria Georgiana Charlotte Eugenie (aka Georgie) who is 34th in line for the throne and oddly enough, also broke and looking for a job. The book is a mystery with comedy and drama. My friend Alison is currently reading this book and has enjoyed it thus far, so I have added it to my TBR list. I love mysteries, I love books with clever wit and humor, I love British literature (new and old), and I love stories set in the past. Check, check, check, and check!

I find that really annoying about Bookfest, btw. I can only provide links because I can get into the blogger template. Otherwise, it's a no-go.

Her Royal Spyness sounds fun! I am finding that I really like British Literature as well especially their humor. I am going to put this one on TBR list. Thanks.
