Because this is my book blog I will attempt to keep these random facts related to books and reading. So here are some random facts about me, enjoy:

1. From the age of 5 until I was 12 I thought I wanted to be a librarian, so for a year when I was 11 I volunteered at my local library. At the end of the year I decided this was not the career for me.

2. I dislike gore, horror, and anything very scary... but I love a good murder mystery.

3. I am an author. I've written several short stories, and been published once.

4. I love lists. I find that I am less likely to forget something if I write it down, so I tend to write everything down that needs to be done, even if it's as simple as writing a note or making a phone call or what I want to blog about later.

5. I have a library card for the US Library of Congress.

6. The oldest book I own was printed in 1845 and is a first edition.
