What in the world has happened?

What in the world has happened? A Library is Hospital for the Mind used to post lots of reviews and lately we've been lucky if she posts one a week. Some of you may be thinking that...

When I started this blog in July I had lots of time for reading and lots of time for reviewing. This was evident by the number of posts each week. Since then I've slowed down and managed to average 1-3 reviews a week, but since Thanksgiving I've fallen to an average of 1 review per week. Ugh... But this does NOT mean I am quitting!

I am still reading, still reviewing, and still enjoy your thoughts and comments on my blog. The month of December has proven much more hectic than I anticipated and as a result my reading and writing time has been limited to a few minutes a day... if I'm lucky.

For now, watch for at least one review (maybe two) per week and a few miscellaneous book related posts. Then hopefully in January and the new year, I will have more time to share with you all the wonderful reads I find.

Thanks for sticking with me!

I'm pretty sure it's that way all across the board. So I'll look forward to connecting back up with you post-holidays. =)

In the meantime - MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thanks for all you do post. I've used lots of your reviews to buy Christmas presents.

Hopefully it'll settle down nearer the big day, and you'll get time to curl up and read some.
With that in mind, do you or any of your readers have any suggestions for a Christmas read for me? I'm going to Scotland - no TV, no internet, more time! I'd like something that's Christmas between two covers: wintry, cosy, dark, ultimately uplifting maybe.... The last time I had time to spare at Christmas I read "A Christmas Carol". What would you suggest?
Thank you!

December is a crazy month, even without Christmas. I have days where I don't post at all, despite great intentions. I'm looking forward to January when I get my weekends back, there are no birthdays, and I can just breathe for a bit.

I think it's pretty amazing if you still manage to do any book reviews during the holidays. It's such an exhausting time of the year. I find myself falling asleep after only reading a page or two these days. But hey, at least I'm still reading, right?
